So PageLime works great when you need to make changes to content, images, or links on your site. But what if you want to add a new link to your primary navigation? In this post we’re going to outline some thoughts about the approaches we’re thinking about for solving this problem.

Work in Progress Concept: Managing Navigation with PageLime
Friday, February 12th, 2010Place…DC…Event…Social Matchbox…Kill it?…Check.
Friday, April 3rd, 2009Last night we presented PageLime at a Social Matchbox event in DC. Social Matchbox self identifies as “speed dating for geeks”. Basically a bunch of startups show up get a projector, a microphone, and 3 minutes to pitch (sell or inform) attendees in the audience. The audience consists of socializers, other startups, job seekers, and theoretical funders. It was a great experience, the organizers actually held people to the clock, so nothing went super long winded. Emil and I we’re the only people who decided to Pass The Mic on stage. He wasn’t sure if we we’re ready or not to pull off a successful mid air pass, so we went with the freestyle classic handoff mic toss. We also saw some really cool companies present:
Vlytics: A political campaign voter research and analysis tool.
Euraeka: A site that combines artificial intelligence, wisdom of the crowds, and a virtual news editor to find and bring you all the news that’s fit to read.
GeniusRocket: GeniusRocket provides high quality custom graphic design, videos, logos, website design and more crowdsourced by thousands of creators around the world.
We also can’t wait (re: we have no business cards) to get everyone’s contact info off their Mingle Sticks. Definitely a good event. It didn’t feel like terrible forced networking, which always comes off cheesey. Thanks to SocialMatchbox, and their sister/brother/father site JobMatchbox. - Tom
